Winter is coming, and strong sorts of beer are what everybody needs now 🙂 To decide what to drink is easy, the tricky part, as I told mentioned yesterday, is where to buy it.
If you take a closer look at TOP beer lists on BeerAdvocate, RateBeer or Untappd, you will see that most of the rated beers are Imperial kinds such as Imperial Stouts, Imperial IPAs, Tripels, Quadrupels, etc. And it is obvious why – they have rich aroma and taste 🙂

Let’s look what we have on RateBeer for Canada.
Imperial stouts:
Belgian Strong Ales:
Imperial IPAs:
Abt/Quadrupels:
American Strong Ales:
Seventeen from fifty (i.e. 30%) top-rated beers are strong ales. But if we look more carefully, then we can see that they take up 50% of the top rated beers, because we have to exclude 14 ciders 🙂
So if you can find something from the list above – you are lucky. If not, then just try to get good strong beer (considering the ratings) and enjoy 🙂
